Africa-Press – Ghana. Vice President Professor Jane Opoku-Agyemang on Monday reviewed the 47th ceremonial Change of Guards Parade at the Presidency in Accra.
At the parade, the Ghana Air Force handed over security duties at the Presidency to the Ghana Army.
This is Vice President Prof Opoku-Agyemang’s second time of reviewing the Ceremonial Change of Guards Parade on behalf of the President.
The ceremonial handing over parade was introduced in 2013 during the first administration of President John Dramani Mahama, involve different branches of the Ghana Armed Forces (Army, Air Force and Navy) taking over security duties at the Presidency.
Those who witnessed the parade included government officials and school children from the Greater Accra and Ashanti Regions.
