Africa-Press – Ghana. Manchester United have long been keeping tabs on AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie, but Tottenham Hotspur now appear to be in pole position to sign the Ivorian.
The 25-year-old’s current contract with the Serie A giants expires in the summer and, with seemingly no intention of signing a new deal, he would be free to discuss his future with other clubs as of January 2022.
Spurs are believed to be winning the race to sign the midfielder due to the influence of their sporting director, Fabio Paratici, formerly of Juventus, according to Calciomercato.
Paris Saint-Germain and the Red Devils are also said to be keen but Paratici’s contacts within Italy’s top flight is said to be giving Spurs the advantage.
He has already managed to bring in the likes of Cristian Romero and Pierluigi Gollini from Atalanta and Kessie seems to be his next prime import from Serie A.
