Africa-Press – Ghana. Ghanaian defender Jan Gyamerah is expected to spend some time on the sidelines after suffering an adductor injury in Hamburger SV friendly match against Midtjylland.
Last Friday, Hamburger SV played a friendly against FC Midtjylland on the training grounds at the Volksparkstadion.
Hamburger were humbled 5-1 and they lost dependable right-back Gyamerah to injury.
He grabbed his groin after almost an hour as a result of a duel and was immediately substituted.
“We’ll have to see what the investigation reveals,” coach Tim Walter said after the game.
But examination took place in the evening of the same day in the form of an MRI which revealed that Gyamerah has torn a muscle fibre at the adductor attachment of his left leg.
The German-born player will, unfortunately, be out for the time being.
