
Africa-Press – Ghana. Ghana forward Richmond Boakye Yiadom was on target for Beitar Jerusalem in their 3-1 defeat to Maccabi Tel Aviv in the Israeli top-flight league on Monday.
The 29-year-old scored in the second half to reduce the deficit for Beitar who were down by two goals.
Stipe Perica scored the opening goal of the game for Maccabi Tel Aviv in the 61st minute of the second half.
Djordje Jovanovic increased the lead for Maccabi Tel Aviv six minutes later with a cool finish as the home side cruised to the three points.
Boakye Yiadom pulled one back for Beitar Jerusalem in the 70th minute to revive their chances of a comeback.
However, Matan Hozez sealed the win for Maccabi Tel Aviv late in the game to secure all three points.
Richmond Boakye Yiadom has scored five goals in 22 appearances for Beitar Jerusalem in the ongoing season.
Beitar are currently 11th on the league table with 22 points.
