Africa-Press – Ghana. Ghana duo Thomas Partey and Alexander Djiku have been named in the Top 11 Africa best performing players in Europe’s Major Leagues from March 8-15.
Partey made the squad after an impressive display in the game against Leicester City on Sunday in the Premier League.
It was the second goal of the season for the Ghana international in the Premier League this season.
Thomas Partey named player of the month for February then managed a 5-star game in the midfield, with 4 successful tackles and 6 recovered balls, match record.
In the French Ligue 1, Djiku scored a spectacular goal for Strasbourg in their 1-0 win against AS Monaco.
It was the first goal of the season for the Black Stars defender in this campaign.
The French-born Ghanaian was impressive in the game for Strasbourg as they picked up the vital points to go fifth on the league table with 47 points.
The two players will be in action for Ghana in the 2022 World Cup playoff against Nigeria later this month.
