Africa-Press – Ghana. Atlanta United are said to be finalizing a deal with Liga MX side Chivas Guadalajara to bring Ronaldo Cisneros in on loan.

Cisneros plays as a center forward but can be placed on the wings, giving Atlanta coach Gonzalo Pineda another option in the attack. The player originated in Santos Laguna’s youth academy before signing with Chivas in 2018.

He has only seen 20 minutes with the Chivas first team during the 2021/22 season, but has six goals and two assists in his last 19 appearances for the Mexican second-tier side.

Since Jose Juan Macias returned from La Liga’s Getafe CF it was very unlikely Cisneros would see minutes on the pitch, making his move – which was first reported by Tom Bogert – to Atlanta understandable.

Should Cisneros arrive to the Major League Soccer side, he would join Josef Martinez, Dom Dwyer and Jackson Conway on the attack, and Tyler Wolff, Jake Mulraney and Machop Chol on the wings.

Atlanta have two wins, a draw and a loss in their first four matches of the 2022 season.
