George Afriyie has distanced himself from multiple media reports linking him to the Kotoko CEO job which us currently occupied by George Amoako.
Reports have flooded the media after Kotoko’s elimination from the Caf Confederations Cup at the hands of Ivorian side San Pedro FC that George Afriyie is been considered by the Executive Chairman of the club for the CEO job.
But close sources to the defeated GFA presidential aspirant George Afriyie says the former GFA vice president is unaware of any such news as he has not held any discussions with any Kotoko club official about the CEO job
There seem to be a frosty relationship with the Kotoko CEO and his superiors after George Amoako was stripped off his voting rights during the just ended GFA presidential elections for lack of trust.
Apparently the club had declared support for failed aspirant George Afriyie but the CEO was in favour of a different candidate believed to be Kurt Okraku the eventual winner.
The apparent mistrust led to the club stripping their CEO of his voting rights which was a big slap in the face for the Kotoko CEO.
Reports have since the San Pedro defeat hinted of a massive shake up with George Amoako set to be replaced by George Afriyie but close sources to the former GFA vice says he is not aware of any such reports.
