
Africa-Press – Ghana. The Ministry of National Security has refuted allegation by the Member of Parliament for the Akan Constituency, Yao Gomado, that operatives of the Ministry deliberately killed two persons in the area.
The Ministry stated that the account by the MP is erroneous.
“The Account by the Member of Parliament on the regrettable loss of the lives of the two persons is grossly inaccurate and mischievously fabricated to satisfy a parochial agenda,” a a part of a statement issued by the Ministry on December 27 read.
The MP alleged on December 26, that the vehicles responsible for killing the two young men were driven by national security officers.
“It is shocking that peace officers, paid by taxpayers to ensure the safety of citizens, can mow down two individuals without any conscience or human feeling,” Yao Gomado complained.
He declared that, “I want to assure the general public and members of the family of the deceased individuals of my commitment as a Member of Parliament to pursue the matter lawfully to its final conclusion with the national security secretariat and government.”
