Africa-Press – Ghana. Three out of five delegates who had been suspended from participating in any activities of the party until further notice were prevented from participating in the NPP primaries in the Bortianor Ngleshie Amanfrom Constituency.
The refusal by constituency executives to allow the three from casting their ballots is what resulted in the altercation, leading to the arrest of one person.
The misunderstanding forced the electoral commission officials to temporarily halt the voting process for well over 30 minutes.
Bortianor Ngleshie Amanfrom Constituency Chairman, Bright Ofori Ampofo, explained that the first two delegates who cast their ballots sneaked in to do so therefore the party took a firm decision not to allow the remaining three to exercise their franchise.
