Asamoah Gyan helped his team NorthEast United secure a 1-1 drawn game away from home at the JRD Tata Sports Complex on Monday night.

NorthEast United played a 1-1 draw with  Jamshedpur to continue their unbeaten start to the league season.

The home side took the lead through Sergio Castel in the 28th minute with his fifth goal of the season before late drama helped the visitors claim a share of the spoils.

It was a top of the table clash to determine who maintains top spot but there was nothing to separate both sides at the end of the 90 minutes.

Gyan who could not add to his tally this time provided the assist that resulted in the equalizer for his side deep into injury time.

NorthEast’s equaliser arrived through Panagiotis  Triadis in the last minute of regulation time.

Mislav Komorski played a long ball to the edge of the box. Gyan flicked it towards an unmarked Triadis and the Greek winger slotted it past Subrata Paul to ensure his side stayed unbeaten.

The draw sends NorthEast United, who are undefeated so far in the league, to 4th on the Indian Super League table on 10 points.
