Ablakwa accuses Akufo-Addo govt of engaging in ‘free-for-all looting spree’

Africa-Press – Ghana. Member of Parliament for North Tongu, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has alleged that officials of the Akufo-Addo administration are engaged in a looting spree.

In his view, developments under Akufo-Addo created the impression as though a looting brigade had descended upon the country.

Speaking in a yet-to-be-aired interview with TV3’s Keminni Amanor on Hot Issues, he indicated that per the Auditor-General’s report, 87% of road contracts were awarded through sole sourcing.

This, he said, amounted to looting.

“What is happening now under this Akufo-Addo/Bawumia regime is like a free-for-all, there is no elder in the room, everybody is on a looting spree, and it is as though a looting brigade has descended upon this nation,” he said.

He added, “87 percent of the road contracts that they awarded were single-sourced, they were not competitive, not me saying, the Auditor-General of Ghana.”

This Sunday on #HotIssues ‘investigative’ legislator @S_OkudzetoAblak sits with @keminni as he dissects various alleged corrupt deals by the NPP government amidst the NDC’s quest to unseat the incumbency in December.
