Developing: Unidentified tankers siphon oil from ‘faulty’ vessel at Prampram

Africa-Press – Ghana. Reports indicate that some unidentified tankers were seen siphoning crude oil from a faulty vessel that had docked at Prampram in the Greater Accra Region.

The vessel, which is said to be in transit to Tema port, developed a fault upon reaching the shores of Prampram.

However, some armed members from the community briefly detained the crew who decided to film the content being siphoned into the unidentified tankers at the location.

Also, some security personnel at the location prevented the public from getting close to the shore.

The MP for the area, Samuel Nartey George, upon contact, intervened by sending a team to the location to escort thepress crew to safety.
