Africa-Press – Ghana. Former Asante Kotoko captain Daniel Nii Adjei believes that while the upcoming Super Clash between Kotoko and Hearts is too close to call, Kotoko has what it takes to secure a victory on Sunday.
The two Ghanaian giants will clash on Sunday at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday, May 26 in matchday 31 of the Ghana Premier League.
However, the current performances of both teams have triggered concerns among fans which is why, Daniel Nii Adjei believes it is going to be a tight contest.
Speaking to Kumasi-based Akoma FM, the former midfielder of the Porcupine Warriors, who endeared himself to the supporters of the club during his playing days is convinced that Kotoko will emerge victorious on Sunday despite the two teams struggling in the ongoing Ghana Premier League.
He stated, “Even though Kotoko and Hearts are playing at their best now, their rivalry will always be fascinating.
“On the day of the game, everyone will witness how the supporters will turn up in large numbers to support their players. I’ll say as a Kotoko supporter that Kotoko is the favourite to win this game.
“Form guides have no bearing on games involving these two teams. The team that plays with aggression and doesn’t hesitate to take risks typically wins. As a former player and Kotoko fan, I hope Kotoko prevails on Sunday.”
Kotoko and Hearts of Oak are both struggling in the Ghana Premier League lying 10th and 12th respectively on the table.
