Africa-Press – Ghana. The chiefs and people of Akoefe Tokor, a community within the Asogli State in the Ho Municipality, has climaxed their 2025 Easter Celebration on Monday with a Thanksgiving Service, stressing unity among citizens to drive development.
The event also featured the pre-launch of the 10th Anniversary celebration of the Overlord of the Akoefe Traditional Area and Dufia of Akoefe Tokor, Gligbafia Togbe Kakla Akoe Dosor IV.
In his address, Togbe Kakla Akoe Dosor IV urged all citizens, both home and abroad, to reconcile and embrace peace, emphasising that unity remains a critical foundation for sustainable progress in the community.
“Let us put aside our differences and come together as one people. Only through unity can we achieve the growth and transformation Akoefe deserves,” he said.
Member of Parliament for Ho Central, Mr. Edem Kpotosu, who graced the occasion, commended the community for fostering peace and tradition.
He also used the platform to explain key government policies and how they could benefit the people of Akoefe.
He emphasised the importance of collective effort in building the community and pledged his continued support.
As part of his commitment, he made an undisclosed cash donation and promised to assist in completing a 20-seater public toilet project, currently being championed by the Dufia.
The celebration was further enriched with vibrant cultural displays by the Tsorme Xletivi Cultural Troupe, who entertained the crowd with traditional Zigi and Gabada songs and dances, showcasing the rich heritage of the people.
The day served as both a spiritual bonding and cultural awakening for Akoefe Tokor, setting the tone for years of leadership and community-driven development under Togbe Kakla Akoe Dosor IV.
