Giant Steps Needed to Develop Iran-Africa Ties: Road Minister

Africa-Press – Ghana. Iran and Africa enjoy high potentials, the Iranian minister of roads and urban development said, calling for more serious steps to develop relations between Iran and African states.

Speaking at the International Economic Cooperation Conference between Iran and the West African States, held in Tehran on Tuesday, Mehrdad Bazrpash restated that the will of countries must be focused on the evermore development of bilateral cooperation.

The Iranian minister went on to say that fields of cooperation such as development of infrastructure, construction of housing, power plant, refinery and extra-terrestrial cultivation have been taken into serious consideration over the past years.

Bazrpash also pointed to the high potentials and capacities of Iran in various fields and added that the country enjoys sufficient experience, expert manpower and standard productions in different fields, including equipment and machinery, technical-engineering services, refinery infrastructure, transportation, housing, dam and road construction, tourism, rail development, construction of airport, etc.

Emphasizing that Iran and Africa should take giant strides in the development of investment and trade, the roads minister stated that domestic technical and engineering companies have registered considerable growth and can effectively cooperate with the West African states in various sectors of oil, gas, minerals, construction of dam, extra-terrestrial cultivation, medicine, and medical equipment.
