Africa-Press – Ghana. A solemn wreath laying ceremony has been held at the Military Cemetery, Burma Camp to mark the fifth anniversary of the passing of President Flt Lt Jerry John Rawlings.
A statement issued by the Agyemang-Rawlings Family said the ceremony, which was officiated by Reverend Father Lieutenant Colonel Benjamin Kwesi Effah, was attended by the children of the former President, the Head of the Agbotui Family, Colonel Joshua Agbotui, and some members of the nuclear family.
It said a wreath was laid on behalf of the family by the children.
The statement said plans for a grand commemoration of the fifth anniversary had been placed on hold because of the sad loss of Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings, wife of former President Rawlings on October 23.
The former President passed on Thursday November 12, 2020.
