Africa-Press – Ghana. ZUG – Switzerland-headquartered philanthropic organisation, the Laudes Foundation, has awarded the U.S. not for profit Biomimicry Institute (BI) €2.5 million in catalytic funding to help develop systems that convert textile waste into biocompatible raw materials for the fashion industry.
The long-term aim is to focus on nature-inspired solutions which will help to design an inclusive and circular bioeconomy that uses decomposition technologies to produce a useful feedstock.
