Solicitors Want Ghana Athletics to Withdraw Disciplinary Action against Client

Africa-Press – Ghana. Lawyers for Mr Jeffery Nkrumah have appealed to Ghana Athletics to withdraw the suspension of their client from all athletics-related activities

A letter addressed to Mr Bawa Fuseni, President of Ghana Athletics said: “Our Client informs us that by a press release dated the 27th of March 2025, Ghana Athletics announced his suspension from all Ghana Athletics-related activities.

“The said release further alleges that our client undermined the authority of Ghana Athletics, brought it into disrepute and may have facilitated the exploitation of the athletes.

“We are by this letter cautioning Ghana Athletics and its affiliate organizations to immediately cease and desist from: a) Making or publishing further defamatory or unverified statements against our client.

“Enforcing any form of disciplinary action against our client without a fair hearing and lawful justification.

“In addition to the above demands, take note that you are required to immediately and publicly withdraw all such statements and announcements concerning our client in the same manner used to circulate the original statements.

“We have our client’s firm instructions to take all necessary legal steps to protect his rights, should you fail to adhere to the contents of this letter.”
