Africa-Press – Ghana. <\/strong><\/span>Ghanaian Highlife star KK Fosu has eulogised his fellow musician Dada KD, stating that his impact in the music industry will live on.<\/b><\/p>\n

Ghanaians are mourning Dada KD\u2019s death, which occurred on Friday, May 16, 2025, with many expressing their grief since the news surfaced.<\/p>\n

Even though the cause of death is unknown, numerous celebrities on social media have extended their sympathies to the bereaved family as well as all Highlife fans who enjoyed Dada KD\u2019s songs.<\/p>\n

KK Fosu, a close friend of Dada KD, says he was surprised to hear the news about the death and yet to come to terms with what had happened over the last few days.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou know, it has been almost a year now since I had that catastrophic accident on the Apam road, and hearing about the death of a very close friend like Dada KD has made me very sad.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe often talk a lot, and I didn\u2019t know about any major illness. In fact, he was preparing to play a show in London, same as me, for the Amakye Dede show next month.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am really saddened by his death because he was my hero and we had lots in common,\u201d KK Fosu told.<\/p>\n

However, KK Fosu believes Dada KD has served music lovers with timeless music and hopes they would give him a befitting farewell when the details for his funeral are announced.<\/p>\n

Dada KD, who had a stellar music career, had nine albums to his credit, including \u201cSomugye\u201d, \u201cEbeboawo\u201d, \u201cObiara Se Aye\u201d, and \u201cOdo Mu Anigyebi\u201d.<\/p>\n

He performed all over the world and won numerous awards, including the Best Male Vocalist award at the 2004 Ghana Music Awards (UK).<\/p>\n
