Africa-Press – Ghana. <\/strong><\/span>Former Manchester United captain Roy Keane has stated that he wants to question Ole Gunnar Solskjaer about why he keeps playing Fred in the middle of the park.<\/p>\n

The 28-year-old Brazil international has been a vital figure for Solskjaer during his time in charge, making his 12th appearance of the season in Saturday’s Manchester derby.<\/p>\n

After his team’s 2-0 loss to Manchester City, Fred struggled to make an impact, and Keane claimed after the game that he wanted to ask his former teammate why the midfielder is still selected.<\/p>\n

“If Ole walked in here now, I’d grab him and say ‘why are you playing Fred in the middle of the park?’…. it is a huge position for Manchester United,” Keane told Sky Sports News.<\/p>\n

In Man United’s last two home league defeats to Liverpool and Man City, Fred has played the entire 90 minutes.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, since joining the Red Devils from Ukrainian giants Shakhtar Donetsk in 2018, the South American has made 132 appearances for the club.<\/p>\n
