Africa-Press – Ghana. <\/strong><\/span>World Vision Ghana has donated medical and water treatment supplies to the Oti Regional Health Directorate to boost healthcare delivery and hygiene practices.<\/b><\/p>\n

The donation was made possible through Gift-in-Kind (GIK) support from World Vision Canada and water purifiers from P&G.<\/p>\n

The items presented include over 50 WASH buckets, over 1,000 boxes of medical examination gloves, over 400 disposable CPE gowns, and more than 100 boxes of P&G water purifiers for emergency settings.<\/p>\n

Speaking on behalf of the Health Directorate, Deputy Director of Finance, Mr Emmanuel Gatewku expressed heartfelt appreciation to World Vision Ghana for its continued partnership.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis gesture is timely and deeply appreciated. These supplies will be used for their intended purpose to support quality healthcare delivery across the Oti Region. World Vision has remained a dependable ally, and we value the consistency of their support,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis gesture is timely and deeply appreciated,\u201d said Emmanuel Gatewku, Deputy Director of Finance at the Health Directorate. \u201cThese supplies will support quality healthcare delivery across the Oti Region.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mr Irvine Aboagye, World Vision Ghana\u2019s Southern Regional Operations Manager, said the organisation remained committed to improving access to safe water.<\/p>\n

\u201cWorld Vision will continue to collaborate with the Regional Coordinating Council and other local stakeholders. Water is life, and it is essential that life is lived in good health. We are committed to supporting WASH initiatives at the community and household levels,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Mr John Kwadwo Gyapong, the Oti Regional Minister, commended World Vision Ghana for its continued interventions, describing the organisation as \u201cGod-sent\u201d.<\/p>\n

He acknowledged the persistent challenge of water-related illnesses in the region, noting that multiple deaths had occurred in Dambai in recent years due to unsafe water sources.<\/p>\n

\u201cSince I became Regional Minister, we have unfortunately lost several people to water-related diseases. We need stronger interventions, and I am appealing to World Vision to extend their support to Krachi East and Nkwanta South,\u201d he urged.<\/p>\n

The Regional Minister assured World Vision Ghana of the full support and cooperation of the Regional Coordinating Council, pledging to work closely with the organisation to expand its life-saving initiatives.<\/p>\n

The donation reinforces World Vision\u2019s ongoing commitment to improving health systems, enhancing access to clean water, and contributing to the overall wellbeing of communities across Ghana.<\/p>\n
