Africa-Press – Ghana. <\/strong> <\/span>The Atwima Kwanwoma District Assembly has launched a news journal documenting the first-year achievements of Mrs Grace Agyemang Asamoah, the District Chief Executive (DCE).<\/b><\/p>\n

Speaking at the ceremony, Mrs Agyemang Asamoah said the publication served as a formal account of stewardship, accountability and collective development. She stressed that the journal was not intended to celebrate an individual but to highlight the shared accomplishments of the Assembly.<\/p>\n

The publication outlines key administrative reforms undertaken during the period, including the refurbishment of the District Administration Block and the Trede Area Council.<\/p>\n

It also captures the installation of service information billboards to enhance public awareness and transparency.<\/p>\n

In a bid to preserve institutional memory, the journal documents the mounting of boards displaying past and present District Chief Executives and Presiding Members to reinforce leadership continuity.<\/p>\n

On infrastructure, the journal highlights road reshaping works on major routes such as Nwinsa\u2013Nkwanta\u2013Amoafo, Kotwi Special Ice, Biragokrom, Asaago and Bekwaime\u2013Kyekyewere, as well as maintenance on the Ampabame No. 1 Bridge. These interventions, the DCE noted, were aimed at improving mobility, facilitating trade and enhancing access to essential services.<\/p>\n

The health sector features prominently, with the commencement of three CHPS compounds at Asaago, Nweneso No. 1 and Nweneso No. 3 to expand primary healthcare delivery.<\/p>\n

In education, the journal captures ongoing and newly awarded classroom projects, the supply of roofing sheets and doors to basic schools, and financial support provided to address urgent needs in selected institutions.<\/p>\n

The reshaping of the compound of Afua Kobi Ampem Girls\u2019 SHS is also highlighted as part of efforts to improve the learning environment.<\/p>\n

Sanitation interventions include the evacuation of seven major refuse dumps in communities such as Sabin Akrofuom, Kantinkyiren, Kyekyewere and Twedie.<\/p>\n

The Assembly also distributed skip containers, sanitary equipment and streetlight bulbs to all 33 electoral areas to promote environmental cleanliness and public safety.<\/p>\n

Other documented achievements include the 41st Farmers\u2019 Day celebration at Dida, the commencement of affordable housing units at Trede, and the construction of 16 mechanised boreholes to boost access to potable water.<\/p>\n

The journal also presents long-term plans for an educational complex, from kindergarten to university level, supported by development partners from the United States.<\/p>\n

On the political front, the document notes external recognition of the DCE\u2019s leadership through honours such as the 4th African Public Service Optimum Awards 2025, acknowledgment from IAMCCBC International Law\u2013USA, and a forthcoming She Achievers Award in Rwanda in March 2026.<\/p>\n

Mrs Agyemang Asamoah described these recognitions as collective honours for the district.<\/p>\n

The maiden edition of the journal catalogued projects, communities and quantified interventions, while reinforcing themes of transparency, inclusiveness and prudent resource management.<\/p>\n
