Masawudu Mubarak\u2019s new campaign posters<\/strong><\/p>\n

NEW CAMPAIGN
\nbanners and posters of Masawudu Mubarak, the opposition National Democratic
\nCongress (NDC) parliamentary aspirant for Asawase in the Ashanti Region, have popped
\nup within the constituency in the Asokore Mampong Municipality.<\/p>\n

If the posters
\nand banners are anything to go by, then Masawudu is determined to contest in
\nthe NDC primaries against the wish of the regional executives.<\/p>\n

As a staunch
\nmember of the NDC, Masawudu was frustrated when he attempted to contest in the
\nupcoming NDC Asawase Constituency primaries.<\/p>\n

He was turned
\naway when he visited the Asawase and Ashanti Regional offices of the NDC to
\npick a nomination form to take part in the party polls.<\/p>\n

Masawudu, who
\nlooked determined, did not give up as he followed up to the NDC national office
\nin Accra, where he eventually secured the nomination forms.<\/p>\n

However,
\nMasawudu\u2019s nomination forms were not collected when he tried to submit them at
\nthe NDC national\u00a0office after he had successfully filled them<\/p>\n

The NDC office
\nin the Asawase Constituency had informed the NDC national office that Masawudu had been suspended, a charge Masawudu vehemently debunked.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile,
\nwhilst the controversy surrounding Masawudu lingered on, the incumbent Asawase NDC MP, Mohammed Mubarak Muntaka, had successfully submitted his forms.<\/p>\n

Reports making
\nrounds indicated that the NDC leadership in Accra had decided to investigate
\nthe matter, thereby putting Masawudu\u2019s ambition in limbo, at least for now.<\/p>\n

Interestingly,
\nas Masawudu awaited his fate, his fresh posters could be seen at vantage points
\nin the Asawase Constituency, especially at Aboabo.<\/p>\n

The posters have
\na big picture of a smiling Masawudu, with the red, black, green and white
\ncolours of the opposition NDC in the background.<\/p>\n

Also, the
\nposters have inscriptions like \u2018Empowerment, Progressive Leadership and
\nIntegrity\u2019 and \u2018Vote for Masawudu Mubarak as Parliamentary Candidate for
\nAsawase\u2019.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, some
\nNDC members at Asawase, especially those that support Masawudu, are said to be putting
\npressure on him to contest as an independent candidate should the NDC
