Africa-Press – Ghana. <\/strong><\/span>David de Gea has revealed that he is appreciating the rigors of Ralf Rangnick’s Manchester United training sessions.<\/p>\n

The Red Devils are set to face Newcastle United on Monday night, knowing that a victory would move them within a point of fourth-place Arsenal. Rangnick’s side trail Arsenal by five points but have two games in hand due to COVID postponements.<\/p>\n

Rangnick has taken charge of just two Premier League games since taking over last month, after Brentford and Brighton clashes were called off at the last minute, and he is is 2-0 in those games, defeating Crystal Palace and Norwich City 1-0.<\/p>\n

De Gea has discussed life under the new interim manager on Manchester United’s official website, stating that every minute is ‘intense’.<\/p>\n

“We\u2019ve been training hard, of course. It\u2019s very intense, every training session, every moment with him [Rangnick] is intense.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou have to give 100 percent every time in training and in the games. Let\u2019s see. It\u2019s just the beginning, it\u2019s been a couple of weeks, so let\u2019s see in the future.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe team is training with energy, with pace, and now we have to show that in big games.\u201d<\/p>\n

With two league victories and two clean sheets under Rangnick, De Gea also emphasized the importance of the team’s newly acquired defensive stability.<\/p>\n

“I think the most important thing for us is to keep clean sheets.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf we concede fewer goals, then we have top players up front who are going to score goals and win games.\u201d<\/p>\n
