Africa-Press – Ghana. <\/strong><\/span>Tottenham Hotspur coach Antonio Conte says the club loves Hugo Lloris and wants him to stay with the north London side.<\/p>\n

Lloris was in goal on Saturday as Spurs beat Watford 1-0 courtesy of David Sanchez’s late winner. The Frenchman is out of contract in the summer but Conte is hopeful the goalkeeper will extend his current deal.<\/p>\n

“For sure [Tottenham looking to renew]. We can see the level of the goalkeeper in this circumstance when, for the whole game he doesn’t need to do much but he continued to be focused with the team,” he said after the game.<\/p>\n

“For me, it’s very important because when I speak with him and the team, the connection between the goalkeeper and the team is very important.<\/p>\n

“When you play very high with a defensive line, the ‘keeper has to follow the game and not just stay on the line. Hugo today showed that he’s a top goalkeeper.”<\/p>\n

“For us, he’s very important and I’m sure in a short time the club will find a solution because he loves Tottenham and Tottenham loves him.”<\/p>\n

The north London side is currently sixth on the log with 33 points, two off the top four.<\/p>\n
