Africa-Press – Ghana. <\/strong><\/span>Asamoah Gyan has slammed the Black Stars, saying they lacked a sense of urgency and that contributed to their early exit from the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations.<\/p>\n

The Ghana legend was absolutely livid on Tuesday night after debutants Comoros condemned the four-time champions to a 3-2 defeat. The shock result confirmed Ghana\u2019s elimination from the competition.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m devastated. I\u2019m shocked. You can\u2019t win a game with this kind of attitude. I saw the real Ghana when we went down to ten men,\u201d the 36-year-old said.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe didn\u2019t have a sense of urgency throughout the tournament. Why do you only push when you have ten men instead of 11 men? We didn\u2019t play with determination. We didn\u2019t play with any ambition. We\u2019ve lost, we\u2019re going home.<\/p>\n

\u201cEveryone in Ghana will be disappointed. We didn\u2019t create many chances and we\u2019re going home. I\u2019m very disappointed we\u2019re going home. We didn\u2019t see the Ghana we know today,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

The Ghana Football Association are expected to announce changes to the team, especially the technical department in the coming days.<\/p>\n
