Africa-Press – Ghana. <\/strong><\/span>Former Black Stars captain Stephen Appiah has described Hearts of Oak as the \u2018greatest club\u2019 while welcoming Sulley Muntari to the Ghanaian champions.<\/p>\n

Appiah, whose career started at Hearts of Oak, is excited about his former Black Stars teammate’s transfer and has wished him the best.<\/p>\n

Muntari completed his transfer to Hearts on Tuesday and trained on Wednesday ahead of the local derby against Great Olympics this weekend.<\/p>\n

The one-time UEFA Champions League winner has joined the Phobians until the end of the current campaign.<\/p>\n

Muntari becomes Hearts of Oak\u2019s third signing of the transfer window after defenders Konadu Yiadom and Dennis Korsah, having signed a two-year deal with the club.<\/p>\n

The 37-year-old has been training with the side for the past weeks ahead of a possible move.<\/p>\n

He was at the Accra Sports Stadium to give morale to his new club during their matchday 15 Ghana Premier League on Sunday\u2014 a game the Rainbow Boys won 1-0 courtesy Kwadjo Obeng Junior\u2019s bullet strike.<\/p>\n

The former Portsmouth enforcer could mark his debut for the side when they play as guests to city rivals Accra Great Olympics on Sunday.<\/p>\n
