Africa-Press – Ghana. <\/strong><\/span>February 06, (THEWILL) \u2013 After winning the penultimate stage of African qualification, Ethiopia, Ghana, Senegal, and Nigeria are only one match away from qualifying for the FIFA Under-20 World Cup Costa Rica 2022.<\/p>\n

The foursome won the second legs of their ties against Tanzania, Uganda, Morocco, and Cameroon, respectively, to advance past the fourth round of the African U-20 Women\u2019s World Cup Qualifying Tournament for 2022.The fourth round fixtures finished with these results:<\/p>\n

Ethiopia 2\u20130 Tanzania (2-1 agg) Ghana 5\u20130 Uganda (7-1 agg) Senegal 1-1 Morocco (2-2 agg, 5-4 penalty shootout) Nigeria 3-0 Cameroon (3-0 agg) The fifth and final round, with two FIFA U-20 Women\u2019s World Cup berths on the line, will take place next month. These will be decided via knockout ties played over two legs, with the first taking place between March 10-12 and the second a fortnight later.<\/p>\n

Nigeria is aiming to keep their perfect record of qualifying for every FIFA U-20 Women\u2019s World Cup to date, while Ghana has qualified for each of the last five. Ethiopia and Senegal, on the other hand, are hoping to make their debut appearance at this international event.The fifth round double-header fixtures will be: Ethiopia versus Ghana Senegal versus Nigeria<\/p>\n
