Africa-Press – Ghana. <\/strong><\/span>Barcelona hope to take advantage of their good relationship with Wolverhampton Wanderers to strike a deal to sign midfielder Ruben Neves this summer.<\/p>\n

Nelson Semedo joined Wolves in 2020 and was followed 12 months later by Francisco Trincao, who swapped Camp Nou for Molineux on a season-long loan with an option to buy.<\/p>\n

Barcelona returned the favour in January, swopping to sign Adama Traore from Wolves on a six-month loan which also comes with the potential to be made permanent.<\/p>\n

The next deal between the two could involve Neves, with the Daily Mail stating that talks over a summer transfer are already underway.<\/p>\n

Wolves have been open to the idea of cashing in on Neves for a while now and 90min revealed earlier this year that the 24-year-old believes he is ready to play at a higher level, with Manchester United among the sides chasing him.<\/p>\n

Neves has just over two years remaining on his current contract and Wolves are looking to sell now before his value starts to decrease towards the end of his contract.<\/p>\n

Although Bar\u00e7a are seemingly interested in the Portugal international, 90min understands their main midfield target remains Franck Kessie who is out of contract at the end of the season.<\/p>\n

Neves’ name has come up in conversations involving Traore, for whom Barcelona have asked for more time to make a decision about a permanent transfer.<\/p>\n

AS state that Barcelona have been impressed by Traore but are yet to figure out whether they want to trigger their \u20ac30m option to sign him permanently, given the need to be careful with their funds these days.<\/p>\n

Traore’s future could be tied to Trincao, whose option to join Wolves sits at \u20ac30m as well. If Bruno Lage’s side choose to trigger that, it would mean Traore could effectively join for free.<\/p>\n

If Wolves decline to sign Trincao permanently, they would have to pay a penalty fee of \u20ac6m, meaning the Traore fee can drop down to \u20ac24m anyway.<\/p>\n
