Africa-Press – Ghana. <\/strong><\/span>Ghana defender Joseph Aidoo is absolutely fired up and ready for Celta Vigo’s clash with Real Betis in the Spanish La Liga on Sunday.<\/p>\n

The impressive defender is determined to help Celta Vigo secure victory to boost their chances of securing European football next season.<\/p>\n

With 10 games to go, Celta are in 10th position and are 14 points behind their next rival, Real Betis.<\/p>\n

Precisely against Seville, Coudet’s men signed one of their best away games this season, earning a point.<\/p>\n

A defeat against Manuel Pellegrini’s team would seem utopian to “hunt them down”. For this reason, in the Celta dressing room they see next Sunday’s game as one of the last trains towards the European positions.<\/p>\n

Following this line, Joseph Aidoo did not beat around the bush and gave the Bala\u00eddos clash the importance it deserved:<\/p>\n

\u201cYes, the match is important for me and for everyone. The match is like a final. In La Liga all matches are difficult,\u201d Aidoo said.<\/p>\n

The 26-year-old will go into the game full of confidence having bagged another award earlier this week.<\/p>\n

Aidoo was named Player of the Month for February, his second accolade of the season, having received the same price for the month of January.<\/p>\n

In January when he received the first award, Aidoo promised to continue working hard. He honoured his promise and it\u2019s only right that he has been rewarded again.<\/p>\n

The club described his performances in February as extraordinary. He was a rock at the back in the matches against Rayo Vallecano, C\u00e1diz, Levante and Atl\u00e9tico de Madrid, as Celta conceded just three goals.<\/p>\n

Aidoo acknowledged the club\u2019s sponsor Estrella Galicia and fans for the award. According to the former Inter Allies player, the award is important to him because it rewards his \u201cconstancy and gives me strength\u201d.<\/p>\n
