Africa-Press – Ghana. <\/strong><\/span>Christian Eriksen took just two minutes to find the back of the net on his return to international football after suffering a cardiac arrest while playing for Denmark at Euro 2020 last summer.<\/p>\n

The Brentford midfielder was named on the bench for Denmark’s friendly against the Netherlands in Amsterdam, where he began his professional career with Ajax.<\/p>\n

Before the restart for the second half, Danish head coach Kasper Hjulmand brought him on to tremendous reception from the entire stadium.<\/p>\n

The game was barely underway again when Eriksen was sweeping the ball into the back of the net to pull a goal back for the Danes, who ended the first half 3-1 down. Timing his run to perfection, the 30-year-old met Andreas Skov Olsen’s cutback with an emphatic finish into the far top corner, leaving goalkeeper Mark Flekken helpless.<\/p>\n

The home side went on to win 4-2, but the real winner on the night was Christian Eriksen, marking his return to international football with a goal and giving the entire football world something to smile about.<\/p>\n
