When the Economic and Organized Crime Office (EOCO) tried to seized the car, I went to court and filed the necessary processes so I am waiting for him to pay me before I release the vehicle. I am not using it and it is not the vehicle I am looking for but my money\u201d, he revealed in an interview monitored by\u00a0Africa-press.com\/ghana\/.<\/p>\n<p>Maurice Ampaw, was among six people, who were yet to surrender vehicles belonging to the beleaguered company, whose Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Nana Appiah Mensah, aka NAM1 then was in detention in Dubai but he insists holding on to the vehicle awaiting the payment of his money is backed by law.<\/p>\n<p>The controversial lawyer who does not shy away from his association with the company, revealed that his close family members are among numerous Ghanaians whose investments with the gold trading company are locked up.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI want everyone to officially know that lawyer Ampaw is a proud customer of MenzGold\u201d, he revealed while flaunting documents to prove that he has his cash locked up with the gold trading company.<\/p>\n<p>According to copies of the documents in possession of\u00a0Africa-press.com\/ghana\/, lawyer Maurice Ampaw purchased 50 pounds of Gold worth GH\u00a2100,000 three times totaling GH\u00a2 300,000 before the company run into crises.<\/p>\n<p>His cousin as well invested GH\u00a2520,000 whiles his wife invested GH\u00a2200,000, cumulatively making GH\u00a2920,000 of total cash lodged with Menzgold.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Outspoken private legal practitioner, Maurice Ampaw has vowed to hold onto a vehicle belonging to Nana Appiah Mensah alias NAM 1 until he pays all monies owed him.
