Africa-Press – Ghana. <\/strong><\/span>Ghana midfielder Majeed Ashimeru is likely to miss Anderlecht game against Genk in the Belgian Cup final.<\/p>\n

The former RB Salzburg midfielder is still nursing his injury and did not train with the group on Thursday.<\/p>\n

Ashimeru sustained the ankle injury that kept him out of Ghana’s World Cup playoff against Nigeria last month.<\/p>\n

He was rested by the club for the game against Kortrijk last weekend in order for him to recuperate on time for the Belgian Cup final.<\/p>\n

However the Ghana international is racing to be fit ahead of the game.<\/p>\n

Majeed Ashimeru has been in good form for Vincent Kompany’s side this season and his absence will be a big blow to the team.<\/p>\n

Anderlecht coach Vincent Kompany is expected to name the squad ahead of the game on Sunday.<\/p>\n
