Africa-Press – Ghana. <\/strong><\/span>Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Danlad Ibrahim insists the team will bounce back strongly after their defeat to Real Tamale United on Sunday.<\/p>\n

The Ghana Premier League leaders suffered their third defeat of the campaign at the Aliu Mahama Stadium after falling to a 2-1 loss.<\/p>\n

“It was a bad day yesterday. We will come back Stronger. On to the next one,” he posted on Twitter.<\/p>\n

Ronald Frimpong and Victor Aidoo were both on target as the northern giants secured an important win while condemning Kotoko to their first defeat since February 2.<\/p>\n

Franck Mbella Etouga scored his 17th goal of the season, but it was too little, too late for Kotoko to salvage a point.<\/p>\n

The win is RTU’s first against Kotoko in 14 years.<\/p>\n

Frimpong scored the first goal for the hosts, converting a penalty after Patrick Asmah\u2019s rush challenge in the box.<\/p>\n

Samuel Boateng had two great chances to bring Kotoko level, but he squandered them as the first half ended with RTU leading.<\/p>\n

RTU were able to thwart every attempt by Kotoko to restore parity after the break. They defended admirably and later doubled their lead thanks to Aidoo.<\/p>\n

Aidoo scored 14 minutes from time after goalkeeper Danlad Ibrahim made a mistake.<\/p>\n

Etouga was brought down in the box in the closing stages and converted the resulting penalty.<\/p>\n

Despite the victory, RTU remain in the bottom three. Kotoko’s lead at the top, on the other hand, has shrunk to seven points.<\/p>\n
