Africa-Press – Ghana. <\/strong><\/span>Mr Divine Otoo Agorhom, Greater Accra Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), says the newly elected Greater Accra executives will lead the party to victory in 2024.<\/p>\n

He said his team would leave nothing to chance but would appease the party base and go all out to rally members for victory. The Chairman said their election was an opportunity for them to do better than they did previously.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am absolutely convinced that we will be able to match on to victory,\u201d he assured members.<\/p>\n

Mr Divine Otoo Agorhom, the incumbent Greater Accra Chairman retained his seat after a closely contested delegates election on Saturday, May 28, 2022.<\/p>\n

He polled 332 votes, representing 50.45 per cent of the total valid votes cast. His contender, Mr Alfred Tiase Boye, a former Acting Chairman of the region, polled 326, representing 49.54 per cent.<\/p>\n

The atmosphere after the official declaration of election results was one marked by merrymaking amidst singing, dancing and chanting of party slogans by supporters of the winning candidates.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, delegates whose candidates lost were looking gloomy and slowly making their way out of the auditorium. Others were expressing mixed feelings of anger and disappointment that their efforts failed to yield the expected results.<\/p>\n
