Africa-Press – Ghana. <\/strong><\/span>Ghanaian goalkeeper Razak Brimah claims his consistent exclusion from the Black Stars squad is due to discrimination.<\/p>\n

Brimah was Ghana\u2019s number goalkeeper at the 2015 and 2017 Africa Cup of Nations tournaments. However, he has not played for Ghana in five years.<\/p>\n

The 34-year-old believes he is good enough to be the Black Stars’ first-choice goalkeeper, but he has been purposefully kept out of the team despite being better than the others.<\/p>\n

\u201cWith all due respect to my other goalkeepers they really know that if not discrimination within the GFA, by now I should be the number 1 shot-stopper for the Black Stars because they all know I am hundred per cent far better than them,\u201d he said while speaking to Kasapa FM\u2019s Alexander Anyankwaa on Twitter Space.<\/p>\n

\u201cLet\u2019s be very honest to ourselves here when it comes to Black Stars, the right things are not done, many at times the authorities don\u2019t do the right things and they always want a player to blunder so that they may use that to cut him off from the national team\u201d.<\/p>\n

He recounted and lamented how the GFA treated him when he broke his jaw which threatened his career.<\/p>\n

\u201cEven in 2017 I got injured during the Cup of Nations by breaking my jaw but no FA member called to even check up on me and this is so unfair\u201d.<\/p>\n

Brimah, who plays for Spanish third-tier side Linares Deportivo, has been capped 27 times for Ghana since his debut in 2013.<\/p>\n
