Africa-Press – Ghana. <\/strong><\/span>Ghana’s Sports Minister Mustapha Ussif has requested for infrastructure support from the Qatari government after the 2022 World Cup tournament.<\/p>\n

Qatar is set to donate some of its assembled stadia to some countries after the World Cup tournament in November.<\/p>\n

Mustapha Ussif who paid a working visit to the Asian country as part of preparations ahead of Ghana’s World Cup participation paid a courtesy call on on the Minister for Culture and Sports, His Excellency Salah bin Ghanim Al-Ali to strengthen the bilateral relations between the two countries<\/p>\n

The Sports Minister requested for infrastructure support for Ghana in terms of logistics, technical and if possible a donation of one of the stadia after the world cup.<\/p>\n

Hon. Ussif emphasized the relations between the two countries in sports.<\/p>\n

He noted that several Ghanaian footballers ply their trade in Qatar including Black Stars captain, Dede Ayew.<\/p>\n

Mustapha Ussif had a fruitful meeting with the Sports Minister of Qatar and is confident the bilateral relations between the two countries will deepen.<\/p>\n

Ghana will face Portugal, Uruguay and Korea Republic in Group H of the World Cup which kicks off in November.<\/p>\n
