Africa-Press – Ghana. <\/strong><\/span>Dr Gifty Amugi, the Deputy Director of the Western Regional Public Health Directorate has reminded residents to adhere to all the safety protocols governing the COVID-19 pandemic to avoid any insurgency since the Region has recorded 20 new cases.<\/p>\n

The Director said figures from the condition kept rising against the lack of commitment on the part of the public to vaccinate, and that had made it imperative that the safety protocols were revived at all institutions and schools.<\/p>\n

She also noted how cholera and other diseases were surfacing since people stopped taking handwashing seriously. Dr Amugi was speaking during a day’s engagement with Health Risks Communication Committee at Sekondi to educate them on how to mitigate the growing skepticism with the vaccine.<\/p>\n

The Region, according to her, had not reached head immunity yet, and, therefore, the need for the risks communicators to work hard to disabuse the minds of the public from the many conspiracy theories and win trust for increased vaccine intake.<\/p>\n
