He said motorists must note that the siren of emergency vehicles indicated a rescue response to an accident or fire outbreak, adding that it was a call for motorists to give way to allow fire tenders to get to scenes on time. He told the Ghana News Agency in an interview in Tamale on Wednesday that respecting sirens of emergency vehicles had been a challenge in the Region, adding that it delayed the GNFS\u2019 interventions. ADOII Mr Hudu said \u201cThe public blames GNFS for delay in getting to fire scenes and these are some causes of the delay.\u201d He said in most cases, personnel on board fire tenders had to get down to order go off the road for tenders to get access to move. He stated that giving way to emergency vehicles did not only help to get to scenes early, but it also protected motorists and explained that \u201cEmergency vehicle drivers\u2019 focus is always on getting to accident scenes.
