Former Deputy Communications Minister,\u00a0Felix Ofosu Kwakye has said Former President Mahama had the best record in terms of the fight against corruption.<\/strong><\/p>\n The\u00a0National Democratic Congress (NDC) communicator stated that President Akufo-Addo’s government is riddled with corruption hence it’ll go down\u00a0as the most corrupt and nepotistic government in the history of Ghana.<\/p>\n The newly elected NDC parliamentary candidate for the Abura-Asebu-Kwamankese Constituency insisted that President Akufo-Addo can not escape the tirade of corruption accusations against his government.<\/p>\n Speaking on\u00a0Citi TV\u2019s The Point of View\u00a0with Bernard Avle on Wednesday September 11, 2019, Mr. Felix Ofosu Kwakye argued that former President John Mahama was rated higher by the world\u2019s most authoritative corruption barometer.<\/p>\n \u201cThe most authoritative corruption barometer in the world is Transparency International CPI. The best ever performance Ghana put up was recorded in 2014 under the NDC, the second best was still under then President John Mahama. The worst ever performance was in 2017 under President Nana Akufo-Addo,\u201d he argued.<\/p>\n Ofosu Kwakye stressed that President Nana Akufo-Addo has failed to live up to his promise and is now running \u201cfriends and family government.\u201d<\/p>\n The\u00a0 disclosed that there are over 65 individuals directly or indirectly related to the President who are playing various key roles in the NPP Government.<\/p>\n Among some of the names he mentioned include Finance Minister,\u00a0 Ken Ofori-Attah, A Presidential Staffer, Duke Ofori-Attah, Abuakwa South MP Attah Akyea, Board Chair of National Theatre, Nana Fredua Ofori-Attah, Roads Minister Kwesi, Amoako-Attah, and the President\u2019s daughter, Gyankroma Akufo-Addo.<\/p>\n \u201cAt the last count, there were about 65 individuals, who fit the description of friends and family in the Akufo-Addo Government.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cHere is a man who makes firm commitments to the people of this country, he makes bold declaration that he will not run a family and friends Government yet comes to power and immediately installs the most nepotistic in our history Government brimming with family and Friends.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cHe cannot be counted upon to fulfil any promise in relation to fighting corruption.
