Deputy Minister for Information Pius Enam Hadzide has disclosed that the government will send an official delegation to commiserate with family and relatives of the dead missing girls in Takoradi.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Speaking on\u00a0Okay FM\u2019s\u00a0‘Ade Akye Abia’ program, he explained that the government sends its condolences to the bereaved family and that at an appropriate time action will be taken soon.<\/strong><\/p>\n

He, however, appealed with Ghanaians to desist from politicizing this issue and share in the grief of the families in these hard times.<\/p>\n

He said the security of Ghanaians continues to be paramount to the government and that Ghanaians are urged to cooperate with the police in ensuring the safety of all.<\/p>\n

He also urged the police to continue with their work in ensuring the safety of Ghanaians as government also provides the necessary equipment to support them in their activities.<\/p>\n

The Ghana Police Service has\u00a0confirmed that the four missing girls in the Western regional capital Takoradi are dead.<\/p>\n

The Acting Inspector of General of Police, James Oppong Boanuh said at a press conference Monday, that the results of the DNA test on\u00a0remains retrieved in Takoradi\u00a0have been relayed to the families along with\u00a0condolences.<\/p>\n

A family member who spoke to JoyNews said, the results given to them shows the tests are positive.<\/p>\n

The girls Priscilla Blessing Bentum, 21, Priscilla Mantebea Koranchie, 18;\u00a0Ruth Love Quayson 18, and Ruth Abeka were victims of a\u00a0kidnapping and murdering syndicate in the Takoradi area, the IGP said.<\/p>\n

The police boss bemoaned the inability of the service to obtain \u201caccurate and actionable intelligence\u201d in \u201cgood time\u201d. But he said the arrest of the alleged kidnappers has \u201ceffectively\u201d thwarted the ability of the syndicate to continue their murderous spree.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0main suspect, a 28-year old Nigerian, Samuel Udoetuk Wills was arrested in the Western region, John Orji was arrested at the Aflao border while a third, only known as\u00a0Chika was\u00a0arrested in Nigeria.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
