Minister of Information, Kojo Oppong-Nkrumah<\/strong><\/p>\n

Government says it will not accept in whole the recommendations of the Emile Short Commission of enquiry that was set up to investigate violence that characterized the Ayawaso West Wougon bye elections.<\/strong><\/p>\n

According to the government\u2019s white paper on the report, the commission failed to answer fundamental questions through its investigations as part of its terms of reference.<\/p>\n

The Emile Short Commission was set up to partially and fully investigate the violence that marred the 31st\u00a0January bye-elections held in the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency.<\/p>\n

Though the report with the associated white paper is still been processed for publication but the Minister of Information, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah says that the government will not accept portions of the report since they are inconclusive.<\/p>\n

“Failure to answer these questions and tell us what these facts are make it difficult for Government to accept in whole all the findings of this commission and we can all ask ourselves are these questions answered in this report.<\/p>\n

“Do we know for a fact\u00a0 after all the evidence was heard and analyzed are they able to state for a fact whether these people were under a rogue operation or under a bona fide security operation.” he quizzed.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
