The governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) will be electing parliamentary candidates for its \u2018orphan constituencies\u2019 on Saturday, 28 September 2019 ahead of the 2020 general elections.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The \u2018orphan constituencies\u2019 are those with seats held by the main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).<\/p>\n

There are 106 of them but the party has put six on hold.<\/p>\n

The primaries in the remaining constituencies which have NPP MPs are scheduled for January 2020.<\/p>\n
