Africa-Press – Ghana. <\/strong><\/span>The Africa-China Centre for Policy & Advisory (ACCPA) has announced the appointment of Dr. Nancy A. Lohalo, who is based in the DRC, as a Senior Research Fellow.<\/b><\/p>\n

The Africa-China Centre for Policy and Advisory is a Sino-African research and policy think tank and advisory firm. Its goal is to provide unbiased policy and market research as well as distinct points of view on Africa-China relations.<\/p>\n

The Centre also offers strategic guidance on key issues regarding China and Africa, covering multiple sectors and industries.<\/p>\n

Dr. Nancy A. Lohalo spent over a decade in Beijing (China), where she completed her Ph.D. in International Trade (Economics) at the University of International Business and Economics (UIBE), among other accolades for excellence in academia.<\/p>\n

She is an economist, consultant, and Associate Professor at the \u201cInstitut Supe\u0301rieur Pe\u0301dagogique de la Gombe (ISP-Gombe)\u201d in Kinshasa (DR Congo).<\/p>\n

Prior to her return to Congo (DRC), she was a research analyst for an African-led international consulting firm. She primarily assessed China-Africa strategic partnerships, highlighting the necessity for African countries to truly understand their development needs and effectively join forces to achieve sustainability.<\/p>\n

Her research findings appeared in international newspapers and magazines, namely \u201cFinancial Times\u201d and \u201cThe Economist\u201d.<\/p>\n

Dr. Nancy A. Lohalo\u2019s ability to speak fluent Mandarin Chinese led her to work as a consultant for a Chinese state-owned company regarding investments in Congo\u2019s telecommunications sector under the Belt and Road initiative. She provided a \u201cCongolese lens\u201d to determine the project\u2019s feasibility in the country and its potential position in the market.<\/p>\n

Her areas of research expertise lie at the intersection of international economics and the digital economy, with a particular focus on women\u2019s economic empowerment and international development.<\/p>\n
