The chief of Agric Nzema in the Kwadaso Municipality of the Ashanti region, Nana Nkansah Boadu Ayeboafo has revealed what could possibly be the deepest secret of former Deputy Ashanti Regional Minister, Joseph Yamin.<\/strong><\/p>\n

According to the chief, prior to his entry into politics, Joseph Yamin was a common Fulani hunter-boy who gallivanted the forests for rats and grasscutters game to sell on the streets of Kumasi in order to make a living.<\/p>\n

Nana Nkansah Boadu was responding to Mr Yamin\u2019s earlier outburst that a comment he had made against former president John Dramani Mahama and the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) was \u201cuseless\u201d.<\/p>\n

This portal reported earlier that, the Chief of Agric-Nsima, Nana Boadu Ayeboafo had cautioned former President John Dramani Mahama and the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) to mindful of their commentary that connotes disrespect to the Asanteman and the King Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.<\/p>\n

He had sent a strong warning to Mr. Mahama and his NDC never to dare to rope the Asantehene into their \u2018dirty\u2019 and \u2018uncensored\u2019 tribal politicking.<\/p>\n

The Chief warned Mr. Mahama and former Chief of Staff Julius Debrah as well as their party to stay off issues about Asanteman and Manhyia since the King does not dabble in party politics.<\/p>\n

To him, if the NDC does not respect the dignity of Asanteman and its King, they should be bold to say it rather than hiding behind such trivialities, adding that \u2018no power can bring Asanteman down\u2019, and urged all in the kingdom to reject any move to bring disgrace to the golden stool.<\/p>\n

Nana Boadu Ayeboafo was reacting to some media publications that described Otumfuo Osei Tutu II as a liar which has left residents of the Asante Kingdom fuming with rage over the NDC\u2019s attack on the respected King.<\/p>\n

Mr Yammin had boldly admitted on live radio that, he was \u201cinsulting the comments of the chief and not his person\u201d, because his comments smack of hypocrisy and a needless show of dislike for the NDC.<\/p>\n

Speaking in an interview on Kumasi-based Angel FM monitored, the former Deputy Sports Minister faulted the chiefs surrounding the Ashanti monarch for \u201cbeing mute at the time that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) was opposition and its members were spewing venom on the Asantehene and calling him names, because they all belonged to that party\u201d.<\/p>\n

But Nana Nkansah Boadu in a scathing offensive in an interview on Kumasi-based Kessben FM, he said: \u201ceverybody knew that Fulani boy Yamin; he used to be hunting for grasscutters and rats in the forests and now because of politics, he thinks he can talk back at a chief\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cCan he disrespect the Fulani chiefs of where he comes from; you Fulani people crawl before your chiefs when you want to get in touch with them, but you think you can come and stay in Kumasi and disrespect Ashanti chiefs, because of politics; Yamin does not respect, but I will force him to respect; he must be very careful\u201d, Nana Nkansah Boadu fumed.<\/p>\n

He, however, advised that both the chiefdom and commoner, young and old must reciprocate respect for each other in other to foster peaceful coexistence.<\/p>\n

From the way the chief spoke, it would not be surprising if Mr Joseph Yammin is summoned by the Kumasi Traditional Council to answer for his verbal onslaught on the respected chief.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
