{"id":41009,"date":"2023-04-26T22:03:28","date_gmt":"2023-04-26T22:03:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/ghana\/?p=41009"},"modified":"2023-04-27T08:07:11","modified_gmt":"2023-04-27T08:07:11","slug":"ghana-table-tennis-association-awards-scholarships-to-six-students","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/ghana\/all-news\/ghana-table-tennis-association-awards-scholarships-to-six-students","title":{"rendered":"Ghana Table Tennis Association awards scholarships to six students"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong>Africa-Press &#8211; Ghana. <\/strong><\/span><b>The Ghana Table Tennis Association (GTTA) has awarded scholarships to six astounding young table tennis players.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>The scholarship package would see each student get GH\u20b52000 per year and would be reviewed annually to help boost their academic performances.<\/p>\n<p>The gesture was made on the opening day of the WTTC West Africa Regional Championship that is currently being staged at the Trust Sports Emporium in Accra.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Mawuko Afadzinu, President of the GTTA, described the students as young people who have demonstrated the commitment to excel in sports and deserve the support to help propel them to greater heights.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe want them to grow and become a blessing to the country and themselves. We often give these scholarships to students so that they can take<\/p>\n<p>school seriously and maintain the highest standards of discipline.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese young ones have demonstrated the commitment and hard work to become great for the country by becoming future champions.
