Dr. Sekou Nkrumah, son of Kwame Nkrumah<\/strong><\/p>\n

A former Gold Coast Politician, Joshua Attoh Quarshie has bitten off more than he can chew after giving an unpopular narrative about first President of Ghana, Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Contrary to what has been keyed in the minds of Ghanaians that Kwame Nkrumah was studying PhD while in abroad, Atto Quarshie speaking on Citi TV’s Footprint claimed he was actually pumping toilet for his daily bread.<\/p>\n

But, son of Kwame Nkrumah, Sekou Nkrumah, who is unhappy about the comments made by Atto Quarshie has since fired him on his Facebook page, saying such utterances by the Gold Coaster were disrespectful to the legacy of his father.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat is wrong with cleaning toilets for a living? I clean toilets at home for free\u2026 So how can that stupid UP man explain that with no university degree Nkrumah could write 15 solid political books? I mean how? How many books did their doctors and professors combined write?\u201d he wrote.<\/p>\n

\u201c\u2026Nkrumah was top of his class, an excellent academic with several university degrees! An exceptional political organizer and orator! A political theorist who shaped the African decolonization process! A legend who put Ghana on the world political map. A hero who made Africa great again!\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

Attoh Quarshie went further in the interview to question the education background of Nkrumah by saying \u201che never studied anything\u2026socialists put all these on Nkrumah\u2026what did he study?\u201d<\/p>\n

Mr. Attoh Quarshie said that when the Osagyefo appeared before the Watson Commission, he was asked whether he was a PhD holder to earn the title \u201cDr\u201d; he (Nkrumah) answered no.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen they called him \u2018Dr Nkrumah\u2019, he appeared before Watson Commission and he was asked \u2018Are you a doctor\u2026?\u2019 and he said no. He [was] trying to write his thesis for Theology,\u201d he said on Citi TV’s Footprint.<\/p>\n

When asked if truly Nkrumah never studied in a university in the United States, Mr Attoh Quarshie reiterated that there are crooks who buy some of these degrees from the universities. He added that Kwame Nkrumah\u2019s master was Ako Adjei so it was he (Ako Adjei) who recommended Nkrumah to Dr. JB Danquah and other members of the United Gold Coast Convention (UGCC) to be their General Secretary.<\/p>\n

\u201cAko Adjei was Nkrumah\u2019s master because Nkrumah had no family to send him money while in the United States for any study but Ako Adjei used to receive money from the Gold Coast\u2026so Nkrumah was following Ako Adjei,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Mr Attoh Quarshie noted that the socialists have been covering the truth because there was a lot of evidence which was never made public.<\/p>\n

He stated further that in R. A. Hammond\u2019s letter to Nkrumah, he accused him (Dr Kwame Nkrumah) of being a tribalistic leader who isolated the Ga and tried to create a community that deprived the Ga of their part of the national cake.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
