Africa-Press – Ghana. <\/strong><\/span>Some school-going children in Ejisu-Besease have been supported with educational materials.<\/b><\/p>\n

The intervention is to encourage and improve on their studies.<\/p>\n

Hope Over Borders Foundation in collaboration with Institute for Youth Development \u2013 Ghana provided the pupils in the St Mary R\/C primary and Besease M\/A JHS with books, bags, footwear, pens, and pencils.<\/p>\n

Headmaster of Besease M\/A JHS, Cletus Nimoh, said the intervention has been timely.<\/p>\n

\u201cGovernment can not do it all so it is important NGOs and other individuals help in the education sector. These items will really motivate the children to learn more\u201d, Cletus Nimoh stated.<\/p>\n

Founder of Hope Over Borders, Kiera Kyei-Mensah, said the intervention is part of her plan to invest in the education of the Ghanaian child.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen I came to Ghana in 2022, I visited some schools and realised some of them do not have learning materials. I decided I would do my best to help them. So when I went back to the States, I petitioned those I know to donate whatever they can and eventually mobilized to bring the items to them. I\u2019m looking forward to continue this\u201d.<\/p>\n

Some of the beneficiary pupils thanked the donors and pledged to make good use of learning materials.<\/p>\n

The computers and other learning materials are expected to improve on teaching and learning.<\/p>\n

The Foundation also donated 8 hospital beds and 6 baby cots for the mother and child unit of Maddona Clinic at Besease.<\/p>\n
