Dreams FC executive chairman Kurt Okraku have been voted president of the Ghana Football Association.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The vibrant football administrator beat his closest contender George Afriyie to become the next FA boss at an elective congress held at the College of Physicians and Surgeons in Accra on Friday.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The election had to travel to a third round to produce an Eventual winner after the candidates failed to secure enough votes in the first and second rounds.<\/p>\n

Kurt Okraku led the polls in the first two rounds by getting 44 and 59 votes respectively as against Mr. Afriyie’s 40 and 43 votes.<\/p>\n

However, Mr. Afriyie conceded defeat and the third round of voting turned to popular acclamation.<\/p>\n

The result means that Mr. Okraku will be in charge of the Ghana Football Association for the next four years until another election is held in 2023.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
