Africa-Press – Ghana. <\/strong><\/span>Former Trade Minister Alan Kyerematen has explained the choice of butterfly as his brand logo going into the 2024 general elections as an independent presidential candidate after he resigned from the New Patriotic Party (NPP).<\/b><\/p>\n

He stated that the Butterfly represents change and hope.<\/p>\n

These two elements, he said, represent his vision and ideologies.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt symbolizes change, it symbolizes hope,\u201d he told Berla Mundi on Wednesday, September 27.<\/p>\n

While announcing his resignation from the NPP on Monday, September 25, he said \u201cThe brand logo for the movement is the monarch butterfly which politically symbolizes change and transformation, hope and positivity.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt also communicates strength, endurance, spirituality, and trust which are all key traits that I cherish as a political leader.\u201d<\/p>\n

He said his Movement for Change will have the motto: \u2018Ghana will rise again\u2019.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe new Movement will be led and powered by the youth of Ghana,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cOut of the over 17 million registered voters in the 2020 general election, the youth aged 18-35, years constituted over 9.4 million voters representing 55% of the total voters.\u201d<\/p>\n
